Battle Report: Yuki Update- Victory at Last
I am proud to report, dear readers, that Yuki is on the mend.
After much suspense, a lot of dramatic sighing, and a moderate amount of staring at the tire as though intimidation alone might solve the problem, my faithful steed was successfully treated. She was raised high into the air, her wounded foot elevated with care, then properly removed so the offending screw could be extracted. And extracted it was.
With swift and efficient proficiency, the enemy was removed from the battlefield. Her tire was patched, blessed with fresh air, and finally torqued back into place like the noble warrior she is. She now stands once more, whole and roadworthy, prepared to carry me into future questionable decisions.
But do not worry, dear readers. I, an independent woman, handled this exactly as any competent adult would.
I summoned an adult-ier adult.
Because while I possess determination, grit, and a flair for dramatics, I do not possess upper body strength. None, whatsoever and Yuki is, respectfully, a big girl. She required muscles I simply do not keep in stock. So assistance was enlisted, tools were wielded, and dignity was set gently aside.
However, no battle ends without casualties.
Though Yuki emerged repaired, I did not. Gravity, my ancient nemesis, once again entered the arena. In what I can only describe as collusion with that treacherous jack, I was struck down and now nurse a skinned shin of moderate insult. So this journey ends as many of my journeys do:
My baby Yuki is fixed.
I am not.
Still, morale has improved. Spirits are rising. The war against life continues, but today… today we claimed a victory.
Until the next unnecessary and existential crisis, I bid you adieu.
